Beach Read by Emily Henry

BEACH READ BY EMILY HENRY

Hello and welcome to my day on the #blogtour for #beachread by @emilyhenryreads I would like to thank @georgiataylor and @vikingbooks for the opportunity.

About the Book

January is a hopeless romantic who narrates her life like she's the lead in a blockbuster movie.
Gus is a serious literary type who thinks true love is a fairy-tale.
But January and Gus have more in common than you'd think:
They're both broke.
They've got crippling writer's block.
And they need to write bestsellers before summer ends.
The result? A bet to swap genres see who gets published first.
The risk? In telling each other's stories, their worlds might be changed entirely...
Set over one sizzling summer, Beach Read is a witty love story that will make you laugh as much as cry, for fans of The Flat Share and Our Stop.

My Review
January needs to write her next novel and is lacking inspiration.
She moves into her fathers beach house to try and write. She makes friends with Augustus who is another author also looking for some inspiration. Their friendship blossoms but can their writing? Can they help each other out?
This book is lighthearted and funny and heartwarming on one hand but also covers some tougher topics like grief and relationship breakdowns. This is not just another romance. The characters have depth and are easy to fall in love with.
A great summer read
